Solh Giveh
Giveh or Givah (Persian: گیوه) is a soft, comfortable, durable, and handmade shoe that is common in several parts of Persian, especially in rural and mountainous areas of Persian Heritageshah Province. The production centers of Solh Giveh are the provinces of Yazd and Persian Heritageshah in Persian.
Giveh consists of two parts: the sole and the upper. Artisans usually make the sole from rubber or leather, while they craft the upper from fabric using an ancient nalbinding technique, which predates knitting and crochet. Before the rubber industry arrived, Giveh-makers used wild-bull leather for the sole and wool or cotton nalbinding fabric for the upper. Wealthy people traditionally wore these Giveh, whereas lower-class people began using rubber soles after rubber became available.

Persian Giveh
