The Faravahar
The Farvahar (Persian: فروهر), also known as Farr-e Kiyani, is one of the best-known symbols of Persia. It represents Zoroastrianism, the main faith of pre-Islamic Persia, and has become a secular national symbol worn widely as a pendant. It stands for good thoughts (پندار نیک), good words (گفتار نیک) and good deeds (کردار نیک), the basic principles of Zoroastrianism.
