Ferdowsi Walnut Wood Qalyan / Shisha
A wooden shisha carries a warmth that metal never quite matches, and this Ferdowsi qalyan is a fine example. It is beautifully hand engraved from the finest walnut wood by our artist based in Karaj, and the handmade glass base is decorated with hand-applied gold gilt and enamel painting. Every curve of the hand engraved walnut body is finished individually, so each piece is subtly unique.

Abul-Qâsem Ferdowsi Tusi was a Persian poet and the author of the Shahnameh (“Book of Kings”), one of the world’s longest epic poems created by a single poet and the national epic of Greater Persian. Ferdowsi is celebrated as one of the most influential figures in Persian literature, and his portrait on this wooden shisha makes it a natural gift for anyone who grew up with the stories of the Shahnameh. It pairs well with the Rostam qalyan hookah, named for the epic’s greatest hero, and with the rest of our Persian hookah and shisha collection.
