Hand Painted Persian Ceramic Vase
This vase is shaped and painted entirely by hand. The motifs follow the geometric and floral traditions of Persian ceramic painting, worked in bright colours over a dark ground, so the pattern falls a little differently on every piece.
Small enough for any surface
At 12 cm tall and without a handle, it suits a shelf, a windowsill or a dining table. It holds water, so it can take a short stem arrangement, and it works just as well with dried flowers or on its own as a decorative object.
Made by hand in small numbers
Each piece comes from a small workshop where the painting is done by hand rather than transferred or printed. Small variations in line and colour are part of the work, not a fault.
