Persian Map Lion and Sun, Hand Engraved on a Copper Plate
This Persian ghalamzani plate unites two emblems close to every Persian heart: the map of Persian and the lion and sun, known in Persian as shir o khorshid. At the centre, the lion, sun and crown rise in hammered relief from high-quality copper, framed by finely engraved vines, while the engraved map of Persian gives the piece its distinctly patriotic character. The design also carries the inscription “Homayoun Bad”, a detail that deepens its cultural authenticity.
