Engraving (Ghalam-zani) is a term, for artistic metalworking, it is one of the original Persian handicraft, the art of engraving and embossing, hammering, repousse and chasing elaborate designs, patterns and shapes on metals such as copper, silver, gold, and brass to form minute detailed reliefs or small engraved patterns. Art engraving has a long history in Persian back to more than several thousand years ago.

Engraving (Ghalamzani) is the art of carving superb designs on various metals such as copper, brass, silver and gold. Persian Heritage is the main centre for this handicraft.
