Persian Immortal Qalyan / Shisha
The Persian Immortal qalyan is beautifully hand engraved from the finest walnut wood by our artist based in Karaj, and its handmade glass base is decorated with hand-applied gold gilt and enamel painting. Like every carved walnut shisha in our workshop’s range, it is finished entirely by hand, so each example carries its own character.

The Immortals, also known as the Achaemenid Immortals, was the name given by Herodotus to an elite heavily-armed infantry unit of 10,000 soldiers in the army of the Achaemenid Empire, serving as both Imperial Guard and standing army. The warrior figure engraved on this qalyan carries that ancient prestige, making the piece a striking conversation starter and a meaningful gift for anyone drawn to the military history of ancient Persia.
