Persian Nowruz Eggs
Celebrate Nowruz with elegance and tradition through our handmade Persian Nowruz eggs. Each ceramic egg is shaped and painted by skilled artisans, drawing on centuries of Persian art and cultural symbolism.
These eggs stand 6.5 cm tall and are made using the under-glaze painting technique, which keeps the detail vivid and lasting. They come in three exclusive designs:
- Farvahar the timeless Zoroastrian symbol of divine connection and guidance.
- Statue of Cyrus a tribute to Cyrus the Great, a symbol of justice and leadership.
- Persian Woman representing grace, heritage and the strength of Persian culture.
Nowruz Eggs, Symbolism and Tradition
Nowruz, the Persian New Year, falls on the first day of spring and marks the renewal of life and nature. One of its most loved traditions is decorating eggs, also known as Persian Nowruz eggs or Haft-Seen eggs. Families traditionally paint eggs in bright colours and place them on the Haft-Seen table, a symbolic arrangement of seven items beginning with the letter S in Persian.
The egg is one of the most meaningful items on the table, representing fertility, creation and the renewal of life. The Haft-Seen table often also includes garlic (seer) for health, coins (sekkeh) for wealth, and wheat sprouts (sabzeh) for new beginnings.
Add our handcrafted ceramic Nowruz eggs to your celebration and enjoy a timeless tradition with a luxurious piece of Persian artistry year after year. Unlike perishable painted eggs, these durable ceramic pieces work as both decorative art and cultural keepsakes. Price per item.
About the Farvahar Symbol
The Farvahar (Persian: فروهر) is one of the most recognised symbols of Zoroastrianism, the ancient Persian faith. It represents divine protection, moral guidance and the eternal journey of the soul. Including the Farvahar design in our Nowruz eggs honours a deep spiritual heritage and keeps these symbols alive for new generations.
