Ghalamzani Haft Sin Set

A silver ghalamzani Haft Sin set is a traditional table setting used during the Persian New Year celebration known as Nowruz. The Haft Sin table includes seven items that start with the Persian letter “sin”, as well as other traditional items such as candles, flowers, and pastries. Some common items that may be placed on the Haft Sin table include: sprouts or grains (symbolizing rebirth and renewal), a sweet pudding made from wheat germ (symbolizing affluence), dried fruit (symbolizing love), garlic (symbolizing medicine), apples (symbolizing health and beauty), sumac berries (symbolizing the sunrise), and vinegar (symbolizing age and patience).

Ghalamzani is a traditional Persian metalworking technique in which intricate patterns or designs are etched or engraved into metal surfaces. A silver ghalamzani Haft Sin set would include silver items that have been decorated with ghalamzani patterns or designs. The set may include items such as bowls, plates, cups, or spoons that are used to hold or display the items included in the Haft Sin table setting. A silver ghalamzani Haft Sin set may be purchased at stores that specialize in Persian or Middle Eastern goods, or it may be handmade. Great products, great packaging, great service

I've now purchased three items from this shop - a set of 2 tea glasses, a coal samovar and a wooden shisha. Reasonably priced, all great craftsmanship and beautiful packaging. It's difficult to find authentic Persian items where I'm from. The customer service has also been great - I've had all my questions answered almost immediately.

Prompt and professional

My recent purchase from Persis was a great experience. The items arrived exactly as they had been advertised and much faster than I had expected. Despite a relatively pricy delivery cost, it worked out much cheaper than getting equivalent items in Australia. I will definitely consider Persis for my next purchase. They even added a couple of fridge magnets, which was a nice touch.
