TAZHIB JEWELLERY BOXES KHATAM KARI ART
A hand painted jewellery box that brings together khatam inlay and the painter’s brush. Pieces of metal and wood are beautifully laid over the wooden surface, then the lid is decorated with tazhib art painting, the Persian illumination style of gilded scrolls and blossoms. Each tazhib jewellery box is made by an artisan based in Persian Heritage and comes in three sizes.

THE ART OF KHATAM
Khatam is an ancient Persian technique of inlaying. It is a version of marquetry in which artisans decorate the surface of wooden articles with delicate pieces of wood, bone and metal, precisely cut into intricate geometric patterns.
