What is Tazhib Pattern On Nowruz Eggs
Tazhib is a traditional Persian art form that involves decorating objects with intricate patterns and designs using gold and silver leaf, as well as other materials such as colored inks and enamels. Artists apply Tazhib to a wide range of objects, including books, boxes, and other decorative items. They also use it to decorate eggs for the Persian New Year, or Nowruz. People call these decorated eggs “Nowruz eggs” or “Haft-Seen eggs,” and while real eggs are traditionally boiled and painted, this one is ceramic and painted under the glaze so it lasts. In Persian and other countries in the region, turquoise is a popular color in Tazhib designs, where artists use it to create intricate and elegant patterns on decorated eggs and other objects.
