In the tradition of Norooz, or the Persian New Year, it is common to decorate eggs as a symbol of fertility, renewal, and the start of spring. The eggs are often dyed in bright colors and decorated with patterns or designs using dye, paint, or other materials. They are then displayed as part of the Norooz decorations in the home.
The tradition of decorating eggs for Norooz likely has its roots in ancient Persian and Mesopotamian traditions, where eggs were seen as symbols of new life and were used in springtime celebrations.
