Khātam is an ancient Persian technique of inlaying. It is a version of marquetry where art forms are made by decorating the surface of wooden articles with delicate pieces of wood , bone and metal precisely-cut intricate geometric patterns.

I was amazed by the craftsmanship of the Persian backgammon board I ordered. The intricate flower and chicken design is even more beautiful in person. We had to remodel our kitchen and I wanted a taste of Iran in the look of the new small kitchen. So we chose accent tiles from your collection. It was so easy to put in the order online and they arrived very quickly to Chicago all in perfect condition.
