Persepolis Qalyan / Shisha
The Persepolis hookah is beautifully hand engraved from the finest walnut wood by our artist based in Karaj, and its handmade glass base is decorated with hand-applied gold gilt and enamel painting. The carved Achaemenid design wrapped around the walnut body makes this qalyan as much a piece of Persian heritage decor as a working shisha.

Persepolis (Old Persian: Pārsa) was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire (ca. 550 to 330 BC). It is situated 60 kilometres (37 mi) northeast of the city of Shiraz in Fars Province, Persian, with the earliest remains dating back to 515 BC. It exemplifies the Achaemenid style of architecture, and UNESCO declared the ruins of Persepolis a World Heritage Site in 1979. Owning a piece that carries these motifs is a daily reminder of that heritage, and it makes a memorable gift for anyone whose family history passes through Persian.
