This jewellery box has been made by the artisan based in Persian Heritage.

Khātam is an ancient Persian technique of inlaying. It is a version of marquetry where art forms are made by decorating the surface of wooden articles with delicate pieces of wood , bone and metal precisely-cut intricate geometric patterns.

My latest order from the Persis Collection was their minakari clock with Persian/Arabic numbers, which got here a few days ago. It arrived the same day as the replacement they had offered me for a minakari decanter I had previously ordered that had arrived damaged. Both pieces are hand-painted, and the intricacy of the design is incredible. They really brighten up the room, and also go well with a Mahmoud Farshchian print I have, as he uses those same celestial blue colors in his art. My first time ordering from Persis for Nourooz gifts/card. I had an issue on the website so I emailed the next day. Arya assured me that my order had gone through along with the correct shipping address. Soon after on that same day, I got tracking info sent via email and received my order the very next day! All within 48 hours! The items are beautifully handcrafted and remind me how elegant and unique Persian art and style is.
